I’ve known since the beginning that Syria would not fall as a government, as Iraq, Egypt, and Libya did.
While Egypt was a startling development, looking at it in hindsight, it was a necessary development. While Egypt is one of the four nations prominent in eschatology, its governmental interface must be opposite of Syria’s. To put it more clearly: Egypt was too stable and peaceful. It needed to become more volatile, unrulier.
This will become more apparent when the final war between the king of the north (Syria) and the king of the south (Egypt) occurs in the tribulation.
As the US and Russia—and now the UN and the world—continue to contend over how to end the Syrian conflict.
